The public-transport version starts at Greenwich (Southeastern, Thameslink and the DLR) and finishes at Charlton (National Rail), with a 6-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is a limited service, and weekend engineering works are common. Door to door by road is about 10 min, or 15 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
From Greenwich it is barely a journey on paper - A102 then A206 Woolwich Road and you are there. Floyd Road is closed to traffic at full time, so pickup is up the hill on Charlton Church Lane. What the fixed fare buys you is a driver who already knows which side of the closure to sit on.

If you were thinking of driving yourself: The Valley sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. A drop-off and a booked return sidesteps it entirely.
Doors are usually an hour before the match. Working back, that means leaving Greenwich around 15 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.
