By rail you would go Greenwich (Southeastern, Thameslink and the DLR) across to Watford Junction (London Overground and National Rail), then a connecting bus at the far end. The catch is that the shuttle bus from the station only runs to tour times, so one missed connection is a missed slot. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 1h, or 1h 30m when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
