Event & venue transfers
Around 8.0 miles door to door, 25 min when the roads are behaving. From £55, locked at booking, with no meter running and no surge applied.
A taxi from Haringey to London Stadium is £55 in a saloon, £65 in a 6-seat MPV and £75 in an 8-seater. It is about 8.0 miles and 25 min off-peak, or 45 min in traffic. The fare is fixed at the moment you book and covers tolls, the driver's waiting time and your luggage.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Fixed fare |
|---|---|---|
| Saloon | up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases | from £55 |
| MPV | up to 6 passengers, 4 large cases | from £65 |
| 8-seater | up to 7 passengers, 7 large cases | from £75 |
Per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, congestion and crossing charges are already inside the price, and it does not change on the day.
By rail you would go Turnpike Lane (the Piccadilly line) across to Stratford (Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth and the DLR), then a 18-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the walk across the park is long and fully exposed to weather. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 25 min, or 45 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
The usual line from Haringey is the A10 then the A406, then A12 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach, then Warton Road at the end. About 8.0 miles in all - 25 min when it flows, 45 min when it does not.
Haringey pickups take in all of N4, N8, N15, N22. Controlled parking zones and one-way systems are the driver's problem to solve, not yours.
Pudding Mill Lane is the quickest private hire pickup; the Stratford side jams solid after events. The Olympic Park bridges are pedestrian-only on event days, so pickup is on the Pudding Mill Lane side rather than Westfield. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.
Address: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, E20 2ST.
If you were thinking of driving yourself: London Stadium sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
Doors are usually an hour before the match. Working back, that means leaving Haringey around 45 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.
£55 in a saloon, £65 in a 6-seat MPV and £75 in an 8-seater. That is the fixed price, agreed at booking.
Door to door the car is about 25 min off-peak. The rail alternative is Turnpike Lane to Stratford plus the walk, which is competitive going out and considerably slower coming back.
Pudding Mill Lane is the quickest private hire pickup; the Stratford side jams solid after events. You get the exact point and the registration by text beforehand.
The driver waits. We watch venue finish times rather than working to a fixed clock, so a late curtain does not leave you stranded or cost you extra.
No. The fare is fixed when you book. Traffic, tolls and the hour are our problem, not a line on your bill.
A 6-seat MPV is £65 and an 8-seater £75. Bigger parties travel in several vehicles routed together.
Yes, and it is the leg worth booking. The driver is in position before you come out instead of you joining the queue that forms the moment it ends.
Fares are fixed at booking and shown per vehicle. Distances and journey times are approximate and vary with traffic and the exact pickup address. Page reviewed 7 September 2026.
