By rail you would go Hounslow Central (the Piccadilly line) across to Kempton Park (National Rail), then a 5-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the station opens for racedays only. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.

Driving yourself to Kempton Park Racecourse means joining the same single-file exit as everyone else, and the car parks empty in one slow wave rather than continuously. A drop-off and a booked return sidesteps it entirely.
