On the network it is Hounslow Central (the Piccadilly line) to Esher (National Rail), plus a 8-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is a short walk but a thin evening service. Door to door by road is about 25 min, or 40 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
Out of Hounslow (TW3, TW4, TW5, TW7, TW8, TW13, TW14, W4) the driver picks up the A4 then the A30 then the A315, joining M25 J10, then A3 and A307 Portsmouth Road for the run-in. That is about 10.3 miles. Reckon 25 min off-peak and 40 min if you are crossing town at the wrong moment.
Hounslow pickups take in all of TW3, TW4, TW5, TW7, TW8, TW13, TW14, W4. Controlled parking zones and one-way systems are the driver's problem to solve, not yours.

Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.

Driving yourself to Sandown Park Racecourse means joining the same single-file exit as everyone else, and the car parks empty in one slow wave rather than continuously. A drop-off and a booked return sidesteps it entirely.
Gates open well before the first race and the roads in are single-file near the course. Leaving Hounslow about 40 min ahead of when you want to be through the turnstile is the timing that holds up.
