Out of Purley (CR8) the route runs down to the M25 and west and north round it to the M1. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 and the M25 back to Purley. That is about 55 miles: reckon 60 min off-peak and 90 min when the M25 between the M23 and the M40 is busy.
