By public transport: Victoria line to Tottenham Hale, then the Stansted Express, about 55–70 min. The catch is a change at Tottenham Hale with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 60 min, or 95 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of St Pancras International (N1C) the route runs north-east through Islington and Tottenham to the North Circular and up the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and the North Circular, then Tottenham and Islington back to St Pancras. That is about 35 miles: reckon 60 min off-peak and 95 min when Islington and Tottenham is busy.
