Out of Stevenage (SG1 / SG2) the route runs west on the A602 to Hitchin, then the A505 to the airport. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the A505 and the A602 back through Hitchin to Stevenage. That is about 15 miles: reckon 25 min off-peak and 35 min when Hitchin is busy.
