On the network it is Streatham (National Rail) to Fulham Broadway (the District line), plus a 8-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the station is one-in-one-out after big games. Door to door by road is about 25 min, or 45 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.

Fulham Road closes either side of kick-off and the ground sits inside the Congestion Charge zone, which is already included in the fare. If you were thinking of driving yourself: Stamford Bridge sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Being dropped at the door and collected at an agreed point removes the whole problem.
Doors are usually an hour before the match. Working back, that means leaving Streatham around 45 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.
