By rail you would go Wimbledon (the District line, South Western Railway, Thameslink and Tramlink) across to Southfields (the District line), then a 15-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that Southfields is queue-managed throughout The Championships. Door to door by road is about 5 min, or 15 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Three or more, or anyone with a case, and the fixed fare splits better than the tickets do.
From Wimbledon it is barely a journey on paper - A3 then A219 Parkside and you are there. Church Road and Somerset Road operate a controlled zone through the fortnight, so drivers meet at the agreed gate rather than the main entrance. What the fixed fare buys you is a driver who already knows which side of the closure to sit on.
Wimbledon pickups take in all of SW19, SW20. Controlled parking zones and one-way systems are the driver's problem to solve, not yours.
