The driver heads north up the A1 through Holloway, joins the North Circular and follows the M11 to junction 8. It is one of the more direct Stansted runs from inner London.
By rail it is the Northern line to Moorgate, a short walk to Liverpool Street and then the Stansted Express.
By public transport: Northern line to Moorgate, walk to Liverpool Street, then the Stansted Express, about 65–80 min. The catch is a walk between stations and a busy train with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 85 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Angel (N1) the route runs north up the A1 through Holloway to the North Circular and the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and A406, then the A1 back down to Angel. That is about 34 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 85 min when Holloway Road and Waterworks Corner is busy.

Angel is the busy southern end of Islington, where Upper Street, Islington High Street and Pentonville Road meet. It is full of Georgian terraces, converted warehouses along the Regent's Canal, restaurants on Upper Street and theatres like Sadler's Wells and the Almeida.
