By rail you can take the Northern line two stops to Kentish Town and then Thameslink direct to Luton Airport Parkway, with the DART to the terminal.
By car the driver heads up the Archway Road, west along the North Circular to Brent Cross and up the M1 to junction 10.
By public transport: Northern line to Kentish Town, Thameslink to Luton Airport Parkway, then the DART, about 50–65 min. The catch is a change at Kentish Town and the DART shuttle. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 40 min, or 65 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Archway (N19) the route runs up the Archway Road and west along the North Circular to the M1 at Brent Cross. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 to Brent Cross, the North Circular and the Archway Road back to N19. That is about 29 miles: reckon 40 min off-peak and 65 min when the North Circular at Finchley and Brent Cross is busy.
