By rail Thameslink runs direct from Mill Hill Broadway to Luton Airport Parkway, with the DART shuttle to the terminal.
By public transport: Thameslink from Mill Hill Broadway to Luton Airport Parkway, then the DART, about 30–40 min. The catch is the DART shuttle with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 25 min, or 40 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Mill Hill (NW7) the route runs straight up the M1 to junction 10. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 south back to Mill Hill. That is about 22 miles: reckon 25 min off-peak and 40 min when the M1 at junction 4 is busy.
Luton has one terminal. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board, so there is no DART shuttle or bus to work out.
