Shoreditch to The Valley runs to roughly 8.4 miles and 25 min off-peak. We quote £55 and that is the number you pay, whatever the traffic does.

| MPV | up to 6 passengers, 4 large cases | from £70 |

Per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, congestion and crossing charges are already inside the price, and it does not change on the day.
By rail you would go Shoreditch High Street (the Overground) across to Charlton (National Rail), then a 6-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is a limited service, and weekend engineering works are common. Door to door by road is about 25 min, or 45 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
From the EC2A, E1, N1 streets the route runs via the A10 then the A1202, finishing on A102 then A206 Woolwich Road. About 8.4 miles in all - 25 min when it flows, 45 min when it does not.
Shoreditch is dense, one-way and camera-enforced. The driver texts a workable standing point in EC2A, E1, N1 instead of guessing, which is the difference between a two-minute wait and a fine.
Charlton Church Lane or Harvey Gardens, a two-minute walk from the West Stand. Floyd Road is closed to traffic at full time, so pickup is up the hill on Charlton Church Lane. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.
Address: Floyd Road, Charlton, SE7 8BL.
If you were thinking of driving yourself: The Valley sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
Doors are usually an hour before the match. Working back, that means leaving Shoreditch around 45 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.

Door to door the car is about 25 min off-peak. The rail alternative is Shoreditch High Street to Charlton plus the walk, which is competitive going out and considerably slower coming back.

No. The fare is fixed when you book. Traffic, tolls and the hour are our problem, not a line on your bill.
Yes, and it is the leg worth booking. The driver is in position before you come out instead of you joining the queue that forms the moment it ends.
A 6-seat MPV is £70 and an 8-seater £75. Bigger parties travel in several vehicles routed together.
