By rail you would go Whitechapel (District, Elizabeth and the Overground) across to White Hart Lane (the Overground), then a 6-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that trains are capped and queued on matchdays. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 25 min, or 45 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
Out of Whitechapel (E1) the driver picks up the A11 then the A1202, joining A10 Tottenham High Road or A406 to Watermead Way for the run-in. Roughly 8.7 miles, and the timing swings with the hour rather than the route: 25 min clear, 45 min loaded.

Northumberland Park and Park Lane are the workable pickup streets; High Road itself is closed to traffic on matchdays. High Road closes roughly 90 minutes before kick-off and stays shut for about an hour afterwards, so drivers hold east of the stadium. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.
