Borough to London Stadium runs to roughly 7.2 miles and 25 min off-peak. We quote £50 and that is the number you pay, whatever the traffic does.
A taxi from Borough to London Stadium is £50 in a saloon, £65 in a 6-seat MPV and £70 in an 8-seater. It is about 7.2 miles and 25 min off-peak, or 40 min in traffic. The fare is fixed at the moment you book and covers tolls, the driver's waiting time and your luggage.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Fixed fare |
|---|---|---|
| Saloon | up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases | from £50 |
| MPV | up to 6 passengers, 4 large cases | from £65 |
| 8-seater | up to 7 passengers, 7 large cases | from £70 |
Per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, congestion and crossing charges are already inside the price, and it does not change on the day.
The public-transport version starts at Borough (the Northern line) and finishes at Stratford (Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth and the DLR), with a 18-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the walk across the park is long and fully exposed to weather. Door to door by road is about 25 min, or 40 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Three or more, or anyone with a case, and the fixed fare splits better than the tickets do.
The usual line from Borough is the A3 then the A100, then A12 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach, then Warton Road at the end. That is about 7.2 miles. Reckon 25 min off-peak and 40 min if you are crossing town at the wrong moment.
In Borough the pavement outside your door is often the one place a car cannot stop. We agree the point in SE1 up front and the driver is on it, not circling.
Pudding Mill Lane is the quickest private hire pickup; the Stratford side jams solid after events. The Olympic Park bridges are pedestrian-only on event days, so pickup is on the Pudding Mill Lane side rather than Westfield. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.
Address: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, E20 2ST.
If you were thinking of driving yourself: London Stadium sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Being dropped at the door and collected at an agreed point removes the whole problem.
Doors are usually an hour before the match. Working back, that means leaving Borough around 40 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.

A 6-seat MPV is £65 and an 8-seater £70. Bigger parties travel in several vehicles routed together.
Yes, and it is the leg worth booking. The driver is in position before you come out instead of you joining the queue that forms the moment it ends.
No. The fare is fixed when you book. Traffic, tolls and the hour are our problem, not a line on your bill.
