Event & venue transfers
Around 10.0 miles door to door, 30 min when the roads are behaving. From £60, locked at booking, with no meter running and no surge applied.
A taxi from Camden to The O2 Arena is £60 in a saloon, £75 in a 6-seat MPV and £85 in an 8-seater. It is about 10.0 miles and 30 min off-peak, or 50 min in traffic. The fare is fixed at the moment you book and covers tolls, the driver's waiting time and your luggage.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Fixed fare |
|---|---|---|
| Saloon | up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases | from £60 |
| MPV | up to 6 passengers, 4 large cases | from £75 |
| 8-seater | up to 7 passengers, 7 large cases | from £85 |
Per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, congestion and crossing charges are already inside the price, and it does not change on the day.
On the network it is Camden Town (the Northern line) to North Greenwich (the Jubilee line), plus a 5-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the Jubilee platforms are a crush for 40 minutes after a show empties. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 30 min, or 50 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
Out of Camden (NW1, NW3) the driver picks up the A400 then the A502, joining A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach, then Millennium Way for the run-in. That is about 10.0 miles. Reckon 30 min off-peak and 50 min if you are crossing town at the wrong moment.
Camden pickups take in all of NW1, NW3. Controlled parking zones and one-way systems are the driver's problem to solve, not yours.
Private hire pickup is next to Car Park 3, past the Tesco on Millennium Way - not the main Entrance A forecourt, which is coach and black-cab only. The Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels are free between 22:00 and 06:00, so a return leg after a late finish costs the same as the outbound. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.
Address: Peninsula Square, Greenwich Peninsula, SE10 0DX.
If you were thinking of driving yourself: The O2 Arena sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. A drop-off and a booked return sidesteps it entirely.
Doors are usually an hour before the gig. Working back, that means leaving Camden around 50 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.
£60 in a saloon, £75 in a 6-seat MPV and £85 in an 8-seater. That is the fixed price, agreed at booking.
Door to door the car is about 30 min off-peak. The rail alternative is Camden Town to North Greenwich plus the walk, which is competitive going out and considerably slower coming back.
Private hire pickup is next to Car Park 3, past the Tesco on Millennium Way - not the main Entrance A forecourt, which is coach and black-cab only. You get the exact point and the registration by text beforehand.
No. The fare is fixed when you book. Traffic, tolls and the hour are our problem, not a line on your bill.
The driver waits. We watch venue finish times rather than working to a fixed clock, so a late curtain does not leave you stranded or cost you extra.
A 6-seat MPV is £75 and an 8-seater £85. Bigger parties travel in several vehicles routed together.
Yes, and it is the leg worth booking. The driver is in position before you come out instead of you joining the queue that forms the moment it ends.
Fares are fixed at booking and shown per vehicle. Distances and journey times are approximate and vary with traffic and the exact pickup address. Page reviewed 7 September 2026.
