The public-transport version starts at Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo and Piccadilly) and finishes at Hammersmith (District, Piccadilly and Circle), with a 3-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is genuinely close, so rail is a fair option on this one. Door to door by road is about 20 min, or 40 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
The usual line from Piccadilly is the A4 then the A302, then A4 Hammersmith flyover, then Queen Caroline Street at the end. That is about 6.9 miles. Reckon 20 min off-peak and 40 min if you are crossing town at the wrong moment.

Parking at Eventim Apollo is limited and the surrounding streets are metered or permit-only, so self-driving usually costs more in time than the fare saves. Being dropped at the door and collected at an agreed point removes the whole problem.
