Heathrow is on the opposite side of London from N17, which is why the Tube takes so long: the Victoria line to King's Cross or Green Park, then the Piccadilly or Elizabeth line out west, with at least one change and plenty of stairs.
By car the driver heads west on the A406 North Circular to the A40, then the M4, or uses the M25 when the North Circular is jammed. It is one fixed price whichever way the traffic goes.
By public transport: Tube/Overground from Tottenham Hale or Bruce Grove, changing to the Elizabeth line or Piccadilly line, about 75–110 min. The catch is at least one change, stairs and crowded trains with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 90 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Tottenham (N17) the route runs west on the A406 North Circular to the A40, then the M25 or A312 to the M4 and Heathrow. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows M4 east, A312 or the M25 to the A40, then the A406 North Circular back to Tottenham. That is about 23 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 90 min when the North Circular between Edmonton and Hanger Lane is busy.
Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall of your terminal (T2, T3, T4 or T5) holding a name board. The terminal is set from your flight number when you book.
Evening arrivals face the same North Circular traffic in reverse, so the ride home can be closer to 90 minutes before 19:00. Late-night landings are usually much quicker.
The North Circular between Edmonton and Hanger Lane is the stretch that decides your journey. On weekday mornings allow the full 90 minutes, and for Tel Aviv flights add about three hours at the airport for security.
