The public-transport version starts at Uxbridge (the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines) and finishes at Staines (National Rail), with a connecting bus at the far end. The catch is that the connecting bus is slow and runs to a seasonal timetable. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 30 min, or 45 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
From the UB8, UB9, UB10 streets the route runs via the A40 then the A4020 then the A408, finishing on M25 J11 or J13, then A320 Staines Road. That is about 13.8 miles. Reckon 30 min off-peak and 45 min if you are crossing town at the wrong moment.
Any address across Uxbridge works, UB8, UB9, UB10 included, at whatever hour the West London traffic is doing its worst.

THORPE PARK Resort has its own car park, but it fills from mid-morning in school holidays and at weekends, and the approach road backs up before the barrier does. A drop-off and a booked return sidesteps it entirely.
Entry is timed, so we work backwards from your slot: 45 min for the drive from Uxbridge plus a margin for the approach road, which is the part that actually runs late.
