The public-transport version starts at Westminster (Circle, District and Jubilee) and finishes at Wembley Park (Metropolitan and Jubilee), with a 12-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that Olympic Way is queue-managed after full time and the walk is uphill. Door to door by road is about 30 min, or 50 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Three or more, or anyone with a case, and the fixed fare splits better than the tickets do.
Out of Westminster (SW1, W1, WC2) the driver picks up the A302 then the A3212, joining A406 North Circular, then Harrow Road and South Way for the run-in. Roughly 11.4 miles, and the timing swings with the hour rather than the route: 30 min clear, 50 min loaded.

Olympic Way (Wembley Way) is pedestrianised for two hours after full time, so allow for a short walk to the car. If you were thinking of driving yourself: Wembley Stadium sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
