Out of Wimbledon (SW19) the route runs through Clapham and Elephant and Castle, over Tower Bridge and through the Limehouse Link. Coming back from London City the driver follows the A13 and Limehouse Link, Tower Bridge and Clapham back to SW19. That is about 16 miles: reckon 50 min off-peak and 80 min when Clapham and Elephant and Castle is busy.

Wimbledon runs from the Village on the hill, with its boutiques and large family houses, down to the town centre on The Broadway and the busy station. The All England Club and Wimbledon Park lie to the north, and the Common stretches west towards Putney and Kingston.
