The public-transport version starts at Notting Hill Gate (the Central, District and Circle lines) and finishes at Custom House (Elizabeth line and the DLR), with a 5-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is fine with one bag and awkward if you are carrying exhibition kit. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 35 min, or 1h when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Parking at ExCeL London is limited and the surrounding streets are metered or permit-only, so self-driving usually costs more in time than the fare saves. Being dropped at the door and collected at an agreed point removes the whole problem.
