The public-transport version starts at Sutton (Southern and Thameslink) and finishes at North Greenwich (the Jubilee line), with a 5-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the Jubilee platforms are a crush for 40 minutes after a show empties. Door to door by road is about 40 min, or 1h 10m when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
From the SM1, SM2, SM3, SM4, SM5, SM6 streets the route runs via the A217 then the A232 then the A24, finishing on A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach, then Millennium Way. That is about 17.9 miles. Reckon 40 min off-peak and 1h 10m if you are crossing town at the wrong moment.

If you were thinking of driving yourself: The O2 Arena sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Being dropped at the door and collected at an agreed point removes the whole problem.
